We're back to the drawing board as far as boy names go. We had decided on the name Grant, but then the name Joshua came to mind, so I reopened the discussion. Big mistake!! This caused Mike to revert back to his all-time favorite name of Calvin. Now Mike keeps calling the baby 'Calvin,' and since I'm not firm on a name, I can't say anything.
So we need some help. Voting is to the upper right. Please pick your favorite name out of these three or mark 'other' if you have a different suggestion and then leave a comment with the name. Johnny is not an option. ;)
We're at such a loss about what to name this kid that I'm afraid we'll end up picking a name out of thin air, like Bob or something. I'm sure the name will come to us ... it will just be fun to see what you guys think! :)

This is always such a struggle! My vote is for Grant. Did you know that Mike and Brooke just named their baby Calvin?

I like Calvin too. I also really like Grant. So, I would go with Grant since both of you like it.
I know you always like to find out the girls' insight into things, so I asked Ramona & Sasha. (Lucia just screamed when I asked her and I think Grant fits you guys the best.) So Ramona said Scruffy, but when I explained to her your son would be a person not a dog she said, "Fine, then Henry or Ben" and I like Ben personally. Sasha pondered over it for some time and then suggested Ryan.
It's amazing how you sometimes go in with a list of names and then it just comes to you when you see him. That's what happened with Dylan. It fit our criteria--2 syllables and ends with an n but it wasn't even on our list until we saw him and Greg threw it out there and we both liked it. I like all three. Grant Mathis sounds so good though. My cousin Heather and my midwife just named their boys Grant. It's a good pick!

Well you know my pick! Our Calvin is actually Calvin Joshua! How funny. But I agree with others go with Grant because you both agree. That is why our baby is Calvin because it's the only name we could agree on!
I love the name Calvin! That's what I voted for, but I will say Grant is awesome too - Andrew was almost a Grant.
I would be 100% ok with the applicable nickname....it's gonna happen in school. Keep that in mind. I chose Grant! Good Luck.
Im leaning towards Grant and not just because cooper's middle name is Grant but I also like that it sounds like a good solid name
