Snow Day!
We may not be big snow people, but it did get Mike a day off of work. :) Wahoo! We even got out of church a couple hours early yesterday. Totally reminds me of winters in Virginia -- everything cancelling left and right.
Plus we couldn't deprive little Aaron of his first snow. It's so beautiful to see everything covered in a thick blanket of snow. This city is so pretty dressed in white!
Maybe snow days aren't so bad, after all. ;)

Cousins Are Cool
One of the greatest parts of Christmas was spending time with the nieces and nephews. I only had seven cousins growing up. Aaron's only three months old and he's already there! He'll have eight in March when his Aunt Martha gives birth to a baby girl. And hopefully there are more to come. (No pressure.) ;) Here is a pic of the Stathis cousins striking a pose. I love all of my adorable nieces and nephews! They are so much fun to be around. I'm so thankful that Aaron has instant friends in his wonderful cousins.
And here's Mike with our fun nephew Jacob (Mathis side) and passed-out Aaron. :)

I've Been Tagged!
Apparently I was tagged several days ago and didn't realize it till now. Oops. Sorry Laura. :) So, some fun facts about me ...
1. I met Kiefer Sutherland in the Los Angeles Airport a couple years ago. We even took a picture to prove it, but then I proceeded to ruin the digital camera by placing my bag in one of those bathroom sinks with the automatic faucets. Camera, ruined. Darn those sinks!! (I promise I really did meet him. The Oshitas can vouch for it! He even put his arm around me.) Totally looks the same in person.
2. I met NBC's Nightly News man Tom Brokaw in an elevator in Washington, D.C. Okay, that was more of a stalking situation, but the Kiefer Sutherland meeting was totally by chance. :)
3. My sister and I both married Mike's. My husband and I both have a younger brother named David, and our oldest siblings both have boys named Jacob. No more duplicate names, please! ;)
4. I, too, would own everything in Williams Sonoma if I could! Pottery Barn, too. Pretty much anything that comes in yellow.
5. I was vice president of the BYU Democrats Club (all 12 of us.) (Don't worry ... I don't vote along party lines ... )
6. I started scrapbooking when I had Aaron (didn't know I had it in me!) I figured it was part of the calling.
7. One of my favorite pastimes is spending time in bookstores just lounging and reading.
8. Places I long to visit: Europe (hopefully soon), Tahiti, New York City (again and again and again - I never get sick of it!), and wherever family is.
I am now tagging Melanie, Trish, Jen K., Amy, Erin, and Melody. (I figure at least one of you will do it!) :) You're it!!

(We Love) Christmas In Virginia
We had a beautiful visit to Virginia this Christmas. All siblings and their children were there on both the Mathis and Stathis sides, so it made for an extra special holiday. All of Mike's and my siblings met Aaron for the first time. We also met my sister's latest addition, baby Lucia. It was definitely the year to go visit. We loved every minute of being surrounded by family. Special thanks to the Mathis and Stathis parents for graciously hosting such large crowds, and thanks, as well, to those who made an effort to come visit us. It was a wonderful first Christmas for Aaron. A wonderful time was had by all!
Here's Mike with Mel's girl, our beautiful niece, Ramona.
The lovely Ingleby family - Adam, Ann, and cousin Jacob.
Here's Aaron with his (other) fun Uncle David. Aaron loved all the attention!
