Sleep is a thing of the past, apparently

Poor Grant was sick on Sunday and as of yesterday, still had symptoms. Aaron caught the bug, too, and Mike and I have been up in the middle of the night cleaning up when he has gotten sick. And of course Samantha still eats at night. Sleep is a hot commodity around here!

We sincerely hope both boys recover soon so Aaron can go back to preschool (he misses it! We miss it!!) and so Granty can be well, too. Something is going around -- I have heard of several others suffering from a nasty stomach bug this week. Luckily Samantha, Michael, and I have been able to stay well. Fingers crossed we don't get sick!!! I have been washing my hands incessantly out of fear of getting sick and out of fear of Samantha getting sick. Somebody has got to stay well to take care of everyone! :)

So here's to Aaron and Grant getting better! We need some beauty sleep around here! :-)

Sammie

I can't express how much I love this little girl. She is just so. much. fun! I'm not exaggerating. The boys adore her, and none of us can get enough of her. We love to hear her laugh her sweet little girl laugh. She is a delight to have around, our little princess. We love her!

Sick Day

Grant hasn't been feeling well today. He finds comfort in wearing a warm hat, eating a nana, and hanging out with his best bud, aka army warrior.

Distinguished new look

Introducing my somewhat newly bearded husband. And Samantha is donning nine-month clothes!! Such a cutie -- to love, not to eat! :)

A Couple of Stories

Grant's nickname for Samantha is "cutie." Today Aaron felt the need to clarify. He was explaining to his friend that Grant calls Samantha "cutie." "Not a cutie to eat, a cutie to love," he said. We do love cuties to eat too, though!

Aaron and Grant had a little disagreement this afternoon, and Aaron threatened to call 911. "You don't know the number!" Grant retorted. I had to laugh. :)

Our Sweet Little Girl

Three-month-old Samantha can laugh, smile, and roll on her side. Her neck is getting stronger. She is in six-month clothes! She pretty consistently sleeps a six-hour stretch followed by about a three-hour stretch. I can't complain. I know it could be much worse! She is such a delight. Her brothers love her sooo much -- sometimes a little too much. ;) They are protective of her and always want to help and entertain her. Here she is in all her glory! :)

Sweet Aaron

This week I had a pretty extensive and painful dental procedure done. The pain ensued for a few days. On about the third day, I was still in a lot of pain. Aaron looked at me and could tell something was wrong. He asked what was wrong and I told him that my tooth hurt. He said, "Fold your arms." Then, totally unprompted, he got down on his knees and offered the sweetest prayer for my tooth to feel better. Then he got up from his prayer, looked at me and said, "Bless your heart." He is so sweet. He's always doing things that show the great faith he has in his Heavenly Father.

Funny story ... this morning I told Aaron that a temple would be built in Cedar City, Utah, where his aunt, uncle, and cousins live. I told him that the Lord's work is progressing and that temples are being built all over the world. He exclaimed, "That's because people keep giving money to the bishop!" ;)
